Questions about FAQ 302
FAQ™ Swiss recommends treatment every other day, for 2–3 minutes per treatment area.
Divide the scalp into four areas: top, back, left side and right side. Press the device firmly on the scalp and move it very slowly in tight circles over one area until the timer pulses, then move to the next. FAQ™ Swiss notes that moving too fast reduces the effectiveness of the treatment.
Its FDA 510(k) clearance (K242747) is for over-the-counter use to promote hair growth in men with androgenetic alopecia (Norwood-Hamilton stages IIa–V) and women (Ludwig-Savin stages I–II), with Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV.
FAQ™ Swiss says it shouldn't be used by anyone under 18, or if you have cancer on your scalp, sensitive skin, a light-sensitive condition, photosensitizing medication or an allergy to 650 nm light. If you've had skin procedures, cosmetic surgery or hair-loss procedures in the last 2 months, consult your physician first.
Never look directly at the laser or LED light, or its reflection, and don't use the device over the eyelids or close to the eyes. A touch sensor activates the laser only when the device is in contact with the scalp.
Yes. FAQ™ Swiss says you can apply a few drops of its Scalp Recovery & Thick Hair Probiotic Serum, sold separately, or your preferred liquid hair growth treatment before use.
Yes, once: the device must be unlocked by registering it in the FAQ™ Swiss app. The app also offers guided treatments and more settings.
Up to 100 minutes of use per 1.5-hour USB charge. Don't use the device while it is charging.
Wash the brush surface with soap and water, then rinse with warm water. FAQ™ Swiss recommends spraying it with FAQ™ Silicone Cleaning Spray once a week. Never use cleaning products containing alcohol, petrol or acetone.
FAQ™ Swiss provides a 2-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase, covering defects due to faulty workmanship or materials arising from normal use. It doesn't cover cosmetic wear and tear, or damage caused by accident, misuse or neglect, and opening or taking apart the device voids it. Warranty claims are made by logging in to your account at faqswiss.com.
